This year's Patches Buoy Race was one of the quickest in recent years, with all seven competitors finshing the course in well under 4 hours. The morning was a cold sunny morning with temperatures at best 10 C on land, the wind was a fresh Weststerly breeze, gusting a top end of a force 5. A fleet of seven yachts started at 09;15am, with the first yacht back over the line ajust after 12;30pm, a good day was had by all. The day was finished off in the usual way at New Quay Yacht Club. The new Bar Steward had a hearty warm curry to finish the day off in style - Well Done to all that took part and a special mention to our Sailing Secretary John Reed who organised the race and stayed on station until all competitors were all back safely.
Kharosho! in full flow on her way back from end of season cruise to Porthgain, skipper Andy Holloway along with fellow crew John James and Tom Jenkins. The yacht secured a final day win in Aberaeron Yacht Club's 2014 Regatta in heavy wind conditions. Kharasho! will be looking to start off the coming season, as it left off.
